Masterclass for mums
A wellbeing initiative
for mums of all ages and stages
in the Whitsundays
What is the Masterclass about?
This isn’t another band-aid approach to wellbeing, or a parenting program that tells you what you ‘should’ be doing.
The Masterclass flips the script and focuses on maternal wellbeing as a foundation for families to thrive. It supports mothers by highlighting factors that enhance maternal wellbeing while challenging the harmful social expectations that undermine a mother’s wellbeing and fracture the mother-child connection.

About the Masterclass
Who is this for?
This masterclass is for mothers of all ages and stages. The age of our children shouldn’t determine the support and information we receive.
Mothers of tinies, toddlers, tweens and teens – this is definitely for you.
This Masterclass isn’t for professionals wanting to gain PD hours. It is an immersive experience in a sacred space for mothers to be the most authentic version of themself.
Will I be paid to do this course?
Yes.
As a mother I understand your time is valuable. Mothers often dedicate countless unpaid and unseen hours of care-work to their family.
This masterclass aims to set you and your family up for success and you deserve to be paid for that.
After completing an anonymous survey at the start and end of the Masterclass you will be paid $250.
Information from the surveys will be used to understand how the program was beneficial and where it can be enhanced.
Where is this course run?
The Masterclass is held at the Motherhood and Matrescence office in Cannonvale.
The office is unit 22/121 Shute Harbour Road. It’s upstairs above Montessori.
There is a bakery, a lift, easy parking, aircon, coffee and a kitchen. Please make yourself at home in this space.
What are the dates
The Masterclass will be run four times over 12 months. Honouring your role as a mum, the Masterclass will run within school terms.
Registering your interest means you’ll be kept up to date about dates and times as they are released.
How long is the masterclass?
The Masterclass is comprised of individual and group sessions. Please download the course outline for more information.
What topics will be covered?
There are six key topics that we focus on during the masterclass. Please download the course outline for details on each session.
This information will be complimented by presentations and resources from your guest speakers.
Who are the guest speakers?
Each group will choose the topics they want to learn more about and local guest speakers they’d like to hear from.
Guest speakers won’t be plugging their business, they’ll be delivering high quality information and resources.
Scroll down to see speakers who have registered already, and encourage your faves to join us if they haven’t already.
I'm nervous, how many people are in a group?
I hear you. It can feel awkward to begin within. If it makes you feel more comfortable most people are kicking their shoes off and leaning into each other laughing by the end of their first group session at the Motherhood and Matrescence office.
I’ll also create a messenger or email group so everyone can say hello to each other before we kick off.
Numbers are limited to approximately 10 per group so please book early.

Meet your host
Author, Educator and Founder of Motherhood and Matrescence
Amanda, or Mandy as she’s affectionately known, guides mothers on a path from guilt to growth.
Her methods make visible the invisible loads and expectations that set mothers up to feel as though they’ve failed. Instead of perpetuating myths that the role of mother will neatly integrate into life without changing us, Mandy’s signature programs embrace matrescence and the mother-child relationship as opportunities for profound personal and professional growth.
Mandy has a background in psychology and sociology and wrote her thesis on the regulation of pregnant women’s bodies. Through her book “Motherhood and Matrescence”, signature programs and one-on-one sessions, Mandy works to make the maternal journey more visible, valued and supported, helping mothers honour both their individual journeys and the profound connections with their children.
Mandy is a long term local who knows the value and power of community collaboration in creating social change.
