Mothering & the NDIS – SUNDAY

$120.00

This session has been created specially for mothers of children with disabilities.

Although it is our child who has the lived experience of a disability, this experience forms a critical part of our journey through motherhood and matrescence. It’s time to honour the stories of women who mother children with disabilities.

TOGETHER WE EXPLORE…

  • The social expectations faced by mothers
  • The invisible loads that mothers carry
  • How they influence our parenting and
  • How they influence our identity.

The aim of this session is to utilise research to create a shared language that honours our experiences and leaves us feeling more aware, understood and supported.

Meet your hosts: Amanda Jackson & Kristy Gardel

Amanda Jackson:  Hey mums! I’m Mandy. I’m a mum to 3 boys, one of whom has a disability. I’m a passionate motherhood & matrescence advocate and coach who supports individuals and families navigate the changes parenting brings. If you’d like to know more about me before we work together you’re welcome to pop over to the about me page. Just – please don’t tell my kids where I hide the chocolate : )

Kristy Gardel: Hey Mums! I am Kristy, a mumma to four beautiful and strong-willed girls.  My other big love is my nursing profession, it has carried me through decades of my life and is something that I was always meant to do.  Helping others is my priority and that is why I started working in the NDIS space. It has been the most rewarding journey and something that is very close to my heart.

We’re looking forward to meeting you for this journey of self-discovery and family well-being.
